A local court here on Friday rejected the demand made by the police to conduct narco test on the four former policemen of Rajasthan who are accused in the Tulsi Prajapti encounter case. However, the Judge S S Joshi extended police custody of the four policemen for two more days.
The four former policemen were produced before the court on Friday after the expiry of their ten-day remand.
The four ? ASI Nararayansingh Fateh Singh Chauhan, Dalapat Singh Khumansingh Rathod, Kartarsingh Yadram Jat, and Yuddhaveersingh Nathusingh Rajput ? were posted at Udaipur police station when Tulsi?s encounter took place.
Tulsi Prajapati, a key witness in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, was killed by the Gujarat Police in an encounter near Ambaji in Danta taluka of Banaskantha district when he allegedly tried to escape from custody while being shifted from Rajasthan to Gujarat in December 2006. Police have arrested IPS officer Vipul Agarawal in the case, while IPS officers D G Vanzara, Rajkumar Pandian and Dinesh M N, who are accused in the Soharabuddin fake encounter case, are also accused in the Prajapati case.
