New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) Group posted a net loss after tax of Rs 119 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 as compared to net loss after tax of Rs 25 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.

Total income of the group increased from Rs 77 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 to Rs 127 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.

The company posted a net loss of Rs 13 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 as compared to net loss of Rs 3 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007. Total Income has increased from Rs 67 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 to Rs 76 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.

ICSA Q2 profit up 66%

ICSA India Ltd, which provides embedded technology solutions for the power sector, posted a profit-after-tax of Rs 48.03 crore for the quarter ended September 30, an increase of 66.31% over the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The company had posted a PAT of Rs 28.88 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

Total income increased by 86.62% to Rs 279.61 crore during the quarter, an ICSA release said on Wednesday.

For the half year ended September 30, ICSA?s net income went up by 93.78% Rs 521.01 crore from Rs 268.86 crore last year.

PAT for the same period was up by 68.54% to Rs 88.99 crore from Rs 52.80 crore last year. Revenue from embedded solutions and software services shot up by 90.44% to Rs 190.32 crore from Rs 99.93 crore last year.

ICSA India Ltd chairman and managing director, C Bala Reddy said, ?The results are in line with our target for future growth. A sound order book position reinforces the company?s capabilities in the transmission and distribution sector. We hope to be use of the sought after companies in the power distribution sector,? Reddy added.

Sanwaria Agro net up

Soyabean processor Sanwaria Agro Oils on Wednesday announced a net profit of Rs 23.06 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, a 58.92% growth over the corresponding period year ago.

The company had a net profit of Rs 14.51 crore in the same quarter of FY?08, Sanwaria Agro informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The net sales of the company rose to Rs 312.21 crore from Rs 201.51 crore in the same quarter corresponding year.

For the six month ended September 30, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 44.93 crore, from Rs 50.91 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal.

Shares of the company were trading at Rs 38, up 5.41% in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
