The global economy is now increasingly shifting from north to south. Business is happening more in countries like China, India, the Philippines, Vietnam, etc, and with increased competition there is also an increase in uncertainty. In the market with a high level of uncertainty, employee engagement plays a vital role in business success.

A Gallup study says more than half of actively disengaged employee work life has a negative impact on their health and unhealthy employees are found to be actively disengaged at the workplace. The organisation needs to create a culture of wellness where the employees lead a healthy life, love their work and give their best. A healthy mind and body helps a person to become innovative. Healthier habits create a wellness culture at the workplace and a wellness culture keeps employees actively engaged.

Organisations have started emphasising more on building a wellness culture. And such a culture helps organisations retain talent. After all, beyond a certain point, money doesn?t help attract talent, does it?

According to various surveys it has been found that employers are now increasingly focusing on inculcating healthier habits in their employees. After all, creating a work environment to maintain a sound mind and good health helps improve employee engagement level.
