CMC, a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has reported net profit increase of 0.9% at Rs 23.64 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2008 as against Rs 23.41 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year. Its revenue for the quarter grew 18% at Rs 285.35 crore from Rs 240.75 crore for quarter ended June 30, 2007. On a sequential basis, the company’s net profit slipped by 1.2% from Rs 24.02 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 to Rs 23.64 crore for the June quarter.
Tanla Solutions net up
Hyderabad-based Tanla Solutions has posted a net profit of Rs 56.4 crore for the quarter ended June 2008 as against Rs 49.9 crore in earlier quarter. On a sequential basis, its total income has increased at Rs 168.9 crore from Rs 147.2 crore. During the first quarter, the face value of the equity shares were sub-divided from Rs2 to Re 1 with effect from 9 May 2008 and accordingly earnings per share and number of shares have been adjusted. The basic diluted EPS stood at Rs 5.64 as against Rs 6.65 recorded in the same quarter of the previous year.
Tata Sponge net profit at Rs 29.30 cr
Tata Sponge, a sister company of Tata Steel, with operations located at Bilaipada near Joda, in the Keonjhar district of Orissa, has announced its first quarter results. The company?s net profit for the first quarter touched Rs 29.30 crore, as against the Rs 16.5 crore recorded in the same quarter of the previous year.Overall, its net sales were up at Rs 101.70 crore from Rs 93.50 crore. Its other income at Rs 12.79 crore versus Rs 9.50 crore. And the earnings per share (basic and diluted EPS) stood at Rs 19.05 versus Rs 10.74 in the previous year.
