Information technology major Cisco on Tuesday unveiled ?Cisco Smart City? project, a blueprint for the future of smart and connected communities in India. The project, explaining the possibilities under the government?s Digital India programme, showcased the company?s willingness to collaborate with the government. It came with the announcement of the next phase of the company?s India site. Cisco sees the smart city business to be worth $19 trillion globally and around $500 billion from India, of which $6 billion is possible in the next five years.
