Bharti Airtel, has announced the launch of its services in Keylong, Lahual & Spiti District in Himachal Pradesh(HP). With this, Airtel’s world-class network is now available to customers in all the districts of HP as well as the adjoining villages of Keylong . The launch of the Airtel service will be of immense benefit to the local residents, tourists, and orchards growers as well as to the armed forces stationed there. In Himachal Pradesh, Airtel is now providing a state-of-the-art network in over 57 towns and over 8000 villages.

To ensure a congestion-free network, Airtel has set-up over 700 cell sites the largest in HP offered by any other operator, some of which are in the most inhospitable terrains. The latest cell site located in Lahaul & Spiti at the district headquarter i.e. Keylong is one of the remotest part of the world and remains cut off from the rest of world for six months. A number of cell sites get snowed for a large part of the year and the Airtel technical team does a herculean and praiseworthy task in maintaining these cell sites to ensure that the customer continues to get an uninterrupted access to the world through its network.

According to RVS Bhullar, COO (Mobility), Bharti Airtel HP Circle , “We are delighted to bring our services and connect the residents of Keylong to the rest of the states, India and the world. This will also benefit tourists from all over the world visiting Keylong who can now avail Airtel services on roaming here . Airtel has also shown its commitment towards bringing a world class and congestion free network to the people of HP with the installation of over 700 cell sites all over the state. We will continue to ensure that we bring in state-of-the-art technologies to HP as well as a series of customer friendly products and schemes.
