In our heart-of-hearts, we all have a wish list! A wish list of gadgets and gizmos that we like to own. I too have one such list, or rather two such lists. One list of gadgets that I already have acquired or likely to acquire in immediate future. The other list contains names of certain things that I assume I wish to have someday, like a Ferrari or a 40-metre luxury yacht!
But here I am inking out another list of gadgets that generally don?t find place in these lists, but they make their absence felt when you require them the most and wish you had them in your wish lists.
The first gadget in this list is Belkin?s ?Tunecast3?.
If you too get fed-up by that nonsensical chatter of the RJs? on the FM tuner of your car stereo, while going on a drive with the family or friends and long for some soothing music specially the one you have on your iPod or to that matter on any other music device (PMP). You wish if you could connect it to your car stereo somehow, so the whole car could listen to your music.
Well the ?Tunecast3? is one such gadget that can transmit audio from any device with a 3.5mm headphone jack. It can stream music wirelessly to your car?s music system through its FM tuner. It has an OLED screen that display the FM broadcast frequency ranging from 88.1MHz to 107.9MHz in soothing blue numeric. Using this elliptical ?Yo-Yo look-alike? device is rather innate and quite user-friendly. Simply connect your PMP to the ?Tunecast3? through the 3.5mm headphone jack, select a vacant frequency on your car tuner and press the button on the top-left of the ?Tunecast3?. It will automatically tune the device to your car stereo and your car will fill with the music from your PMP.
The ?Tunecast3? runs on its own power supply (two AAA size batteries) and can also be powered by a car power adapter. It can also stream music from your portable DVD players, CD players or laptops. Selling at an MRP of Rs 2,440, this gadget is a bit costly but still indispensable.
Portability factor
The other gadget in this list is Canon?s portable photo-printer ?Selphy CP770?. With cameras all around us, and I am not talking about those ?spy-cams?, but the ones we wield all the time, be it the one in the mobile handset or that ?point and shoot? you got for your birthday gift.
Convert those digital images in to hardcopies on the spot while on an office (or family) picnic or a motoring escapade. This Selphy CP770 is an unique ?picnic-basket? shaped portable printer with big buttons, large display and automatic red-eye correction capability that churns out beautiful long-lasting 4? x 6? photo prints in less than a minute. The basket shaped outer shell with carrying handle holds everything including photo-paper, printing cartridge, all the connecting cables and optional battery pack.
With this truly portable and go-everywhere printer ? be it a birthday party, family vacation or an office picnic, you can amaze people by printing high-quality photos right on the spot without the need of any computer. You can also print directly from your digital camera or camera phone by either connecting them through the USB port or through bluetooth via the optional BU-30 bluetooth interface.
At Rs 8,995, Canon ?Selphy CP770?, sounds a bit expensive but nonetheless indispensable for the paparazzi in you.
