9.09 million telephone connections added in July

A total of 9.06 million telephone connections were added in July taking the total number of telephone connections up to 334.84 million taking the overall tele-density level to 29.08% at the end of July as against 28.33% in June.

A total of 9.06 million telephone connections (wireline and wireless) were added in July taking the total number of telephone connections up to 334.84 million taking the overall tele-density level to 29.08% at the end of July as against 28.33% in June.

A total of 9.22 million wireless subscribers have been added during the month of July as against 8.94 million wireless subscribers added during the month of June. The wireless subscribers, which include, GSM, CDMA & WLL reached 296.08 million in July. In the wireline segment, the subscriber base has slightly decreased to 38.76 million in July against 38.92 million subscribers in June.
