MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni went on to become among the most successful captains in cricket history for a nation like India. He made his international debut in 2004 and known for his calm behavior, wonderful cricket vision, and finishing potentialities. He led his nation to several victories in the ICC T20 World Cup, the ICC Cricket World Cup, and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2007, 2011, and 2013, respectively. Dhoni has a vision because he converted the style of Indian cricket, especially limited-overs cricket, with his innovative thinking and faith in youngsters.

An expert keeper-batsman Dhoni is still quick in stumpings and an explosive hitting finisher in tight finishes. He announced his retirement from Test cricket in 2014 and his retirement from international cricket on August 15, 2020, paying his last tribute to an illustrious career.

In fact, since the inception of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008, the name of Dhoni has been synonymous with that of the Chennai Super Kings. Under his captaincy, CSK has had an impressive haul of five IPL titles (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021 & 2023) while remaining one of the most successful franchises over time. His leadership, pressure handling capability, and the help he gives with bat or glove have made Dhoni one of the greatest players and captains.
