SEBI plans REITs’ index entry to enhance liquidity, participation: Tuhin Kanta Pandey
Sebi chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey has announced plans to boost REITs and InvITs by allowing them to invest in liquid mutual funds and be included in equity indices. These measures aim to increase their investor base and liquidity in the market. Sebi is also proposing reforms in mutual fund and stockbroking regulations, including reducing brokerage charges and revising short-selling norms.
