New Delhi , Nov 5 : Finance minister P Chidambaram on Wednesday said the election of Democrat candidate Barack Obama as President of the United States would strengthen India-US relations and his comments on outsourcing should not bother India. Obama was very vocal on his support for keeping jobs inside the US. In his campaign for the presidential election he had promised tax breaks to firms that create employment within the country and said that sops would be cut for those that shipped the jobs to other countries.

The Indian industry feared lower number of contracts from the US in case of Obama's election.

However, Chidambaram said, "A comment here and a comment there (on outsourcing of services) should not bother us. Once Obama is in office, he will realise that it is an inter-connected world and countries have to work together."

"I am very confident that US-India relations will only strengthen in future" by Obama's candidature, he said.

Calling Barck Obama a change agent, Chidambaram said: "We will gain by the change in the US administration." The change, the minister said, is "transformational" and "many ghosts have been exorcised by this election."

"I think this is a tribute to the US democracy that a young, forward-looking black has been elected," he added.

I think these are signs and symptoms of the world coming to an end. We are having 101 problems here and our Finance Hero is forecasting on what will happen to outsourcing. Let him first talk about ICICI bank which is almost on the verge of closing. Their ATMs are switched off, credit cards are not working, customer care not getting connected, etc. Mr. Chidambaram, first solve our own country's financial status and then poke your nose to external affairs.

Hello P Chidambaram,We elected our president just now and why are u so excited about it. Also our administration knows very well what to do now. You don't have to tell us anything. We are paying the tax here. We are not asking you to pay tax to US. So SHUTUP.

Well said Alesa. It is not the mistake of P. Chidambaram, usually our Indian ministers have a tendency to poke into whatever is not their business and wherever it is absolutely not required. It is a total mess here inside home, especially his ministry of finance, and he wants to forecast what your president-elect does after assuming office. I hope our dear finance minister reads your comment and really SHUTS UP!!!
