Sopore police station was attacked on Wednesday and four policemen were injured in the incident, according to multiple TV reports. Multiple TV channels reported that a blast took place outside the Sopore police station in Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, news agency ANI reported that terrorists hurled a grenade at a Police party near J&K Bank in Sopore. “The militants lobbed a grenade at a police party deployed near a bank in Sopore town at around 4.10 pm,” a police official was quoted saying by PTI. It was the second incident of this type in last 24 hours. Earlier a man was injured in an explosion in Pulwama district, reported news agency PTI. The man who was identified as Ghulam Mohiuddin Shah (45) found some unknown explosive by the roadside at Dalipora in Pulwama district and started fiddling with it, a police official said. It was then the blast took place and the man was shifted to SKIMS Hospital.

In another incident of mischief earlier in the day, few unknown people decamped with an ATM machine of the State Bank of India from Anantnag town in Kashmir, reported news agency PTI. The unidentified men pulled out and took away the ATM machine along with the cash from Anantnag district town during the intervening night, a police official said. He said the amount of cash present inside the machine was not known yet.

Apart from this, two suspected militants shot at and injured two persons in Baramulla district on Tuesday. The men shot were identified as Abdul Rashid Lone and Tariq Ahmad Lone. The incident took place near their house in Khanpora late last night, a police official said, adding the injured were shifted to a local hospital for treatment.
