A portion of a four-storey building, Noor Villa, collapsed in the densely populated Dongri area of Mumbai on Thursday night. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, according to officials on the scene.

Personnel from the fire department, along with police and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) teams, are currently engaged in clearing the debris. Efforts are underway to ensure the safety of the residents and assess the extent of the damage.

Congress MLA Amin Patel, commenting on the incident, revealed that the building had visible structural issues. “This is a building named Noor Villa. There were so many cracks in it. Funds were being arranged, but repair work did not happen, leading to the partial collapse. Thankfully, as per the fire brigade and police, there are no casualties,” he said.

Further details about the collapse and any potential impact on nearby buildings are awaited. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.
