Popular TikToker Anna Grace Phelan has died at the young age of 19. Her sad passing on May 23 comes less than a year after she was diagnosed with brain cancer.
“It is with great sadness to announce that our beautiful daughter, Anna Grace Phelan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” her family announced the heart-breaking loss in an X post on Saturday, May 24. “So many of you have followed her journey through a difficult battle with cancer and bore witness to her powerful testimony of faith.”
They went on to thank those who prayed for Anna, and sent the family their healing prayers during the trying times. “May we all rejoice with the assurance that she is in Heaven now, and she has been healed. Let us also remember that the only path to the promised kingdom of Heaven is through salvation in Jesus Christ.”
Anna Grace Phelan’s cancer diagnosis
Back in September 2024, Anna took to her Instagram to share the gut-wrenching news of her grade 4 glioblastoma brain tumor at just 18. Revealing that it was inoperable, she shared a GoFundMe link, requesting people to help her and her family raise funds for her treatments.
At the time, someone asked her about her sudden ailment’s symptoms in the comments. She replied: “Numbness in the left side of my face, numbness in right side of body, vision loss, memory issues and fogginess.”
In a separate TikTok video, she opened up: “This is definitely the hardest news I’ve ever received. By all means, this is not easy. Just going to trust in the Lord and try and keep pushing forward.”
If the timeline from her social media posts is to be followed, Anna Grace Phelan graduated from high school in May 2024. Just months later, her family’s GoFundMe link, titled “Anna’s Fight Against Brain Cancer,” went live. The post confirms that the young TikToker’s brain tumor diagnosis shook her life days before she was due to start here Freshman year of college.
“…after a number of varied symptoms, Anna was diagnosed with an inoperable Grade 4 malignant brain tumor. Categorized as a diffuse midline glioma this tumor demonstrates a particularly aggressive H3K27M mutation,” the post began.
The page has since been updated to break the sad news of Anna’s passing with the world.
About Glioblastoma: This type of cancer, as already revealed does not have a cure. According to Mayo Clinic, treatments may only slow its growth and reduce symptoms. Initial stages see the beginning of growth of cells in the brain or spinal cord, which is followed by rapid growth that can destroy human tissue.
It can happen at any age. Forming from “cells called astrocytes that support nerve cells,” Glioblastoma’s symptoms could include headaches that keep getting worse, nausea and vomiting, blurred or double vision, trouble speaking, altered sense of touch, and seizures. Patients may also face trouble with balance, coordination, and moving parts of the face or body.
Who was Anna Grace Phelan?
Anna Grace Phelan, brother Harper was born on October 12, 2025, according to her obituary. Though born in Orlando, Florida, she was living in Jefferson, Georgia, during her final days. The official obituary confirms her parents names as William Harper Phelan III and Nadine Elizabeth Turner of Phelan. Family members she leaves behind include her parents, her brother Harper David Phelan, maternal grandparents, David Duane Turner and Robin Lee Catalino Turner and paternal grandparents, William Harper Phelan Jr. and Stephanie Lynn Yancey Phelan, among other relatives.
The young influencer graduated from Jefferson High School in 2024. In addition to working as a receptionist at Georgia Skin Cancer and Aesthetic Dermatology. she was a member of the Galilee Christian Church.
Anna Phelan Obituary on EvansFuneralHomeInc.com reveals that her family will be honouring her memory with a funeral service on Thursday, May 29, at 4 pm in the same church where she enjoyed Church Camp and several other activities. Minister Nick Vipperman will be officiating it. “The visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM in the Galilee Christian Church, prior to the service,” read an extract from the obit.
Those who can’t may not be able to attend the service but hope to be a part of it can livestream it on the Galilee Christian Church YouTube channel.
According to People’s May 25 report (timestamp – 3:41 pm EDT), Phelan openly documented her battle with cancer for her nearly 140,000 follower on TikTok. At the time of writing, she had an Instagram following of 7,087.
