Singer Dolly Parton announced on Monday the difficult decision to postpone her upcoming Las Vegas residency, over ongoing health challenges that have interfered with rehearsals for her much-anticipated shows.

The country music legend shared the news directly with her fans through instagram. She said that the break is necessary for her to undergo medical procedures. However, despite her health struggles, Dolly made it clear that she is not retiring anytime soon.

Dolly Patron’s statement

In an Instagram post, Parton explained that she has been dealing with health issues that required her to schedule a series of procedures. “I’ve been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,” she wrote. “As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up.”

The singer also reassured fans that this would not be the end of her career. “Don’t worry about me quitting the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet,” she joked.

Parton also expressed her gratitude for the love and support she has received during this time, encouraging fans to be patient as she focuses on her recovery and returns to the stage even stronger.

Dolly Parton’s personal life

In March, she lost her beloved husband, Carl Dean, and has since been publicly mourning his passing. While recovering from a painful kidney stone earlier this month, Dolly had also missed a ‘Dollywood’ event over health struggles.

Despite these hurdles, the country icon remains positive and committed to returning to her fans. “Thank you for all the messages, cards, and flowers that you’ve sent to pay your respects for the loss of my beloved husband Carl,” she shared. “I will always love you.”
