Yarely Ashley Hermosillo, best known to the global audience as an influencer from Arizona, was fatally shot Saturday, August 15, due to a road rage incident that had nothing to do with her. She was just 27 years old. According to Glendale Police, she was killed by a stray bullet after two drivers got into an altercation at a red light in a Phoenix area.
Unfortunately, her family witnessed the untimely tragedy that no one could’ve seen coming. Her boyfriend was reportedly driving the car at the time, while she was in the passenger seat next to him. Additionally, Hermosillo’s mother and four-year-old son were in the back of the car. None of the other passengers were injured.

The 27-year-old was hit by a stray bullet after a road rage incident broke at a red light. Yarely was not involved in the confrontation. Glendale Police has since confirmed to The Mirror US that two were travelling eastbound on Camelback Road near 5100 W Camelback at approximately 11:45 pm on August 15, 2025.
Occupants of both vehicles eventually exchanged a few words at a red light at 51st Avenue and Camelback Road. The conversation shortly devolved into something unprecedented as the driver of one of these vehicles pulled out a firearm and fired a shot in a random direction. “Tragically, that bullet struck a passenger in an uninvolved vehicle. The family of the victim rushed her to the hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased,” said the Glendale PD.

The Arizona-based social media influencer and content creator made waves online with her cooking videos and lifestyle content. She has a following of over 300,000 people across several SNS platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
According to a GoFundMe the US influencer‘s family created to raise funds for funeral expenses, Hermosillo’s loved ones described her as “a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a beautiful soul whose light touched everyone who knew her.”
Yarely Ashley Hermosillo “leaves behind her husband and their 4-year-old son, who now face an unimaginable loss,” the page read. “Yarely’s greatest joy in life was being a mother, and she poured her heart into caring for her little boy.”
What do we know about the US influencer’s suspected killer
Authorities have since identified the suspect who was brandishing the gun and is responsible for the stray bullet that killed Hermosillo.
Further digging into the events of the day, the police added, “Some may ask about the original ‘road rage’ aspect. It was determined there was no criminal activity between the two vehicles beyond a brief verbal exchange. Why the suspect chose to fire the weapon remains unknown.”
A 33-year-old man named Jesus Preciado Dousten was ultimately arrested on multiple charges, including second-degree murder, aggravated assault, misconduct involving weapons and endangerment. He is being on a one-million-dollar bond.
