Milind Kumar’s amazing form continued on Saturday at the ICC Academy as he guided US to another clinical victory on their UAE tour.

Coming in at No. 5, Milind struck a fluent 70 from 66 deliveries, leading to a crucial 123-run fourth-wicket stand with Sai Mukkamalla to help the United States chase down Nepal’s 272-run target with six wickets down and an over to spare.

The win not only kept the USA unbeaten on tour but also consolidated their lead at the top of the ICC Cricket World Cup League Two standings.

With this result, the USA moved to 34 points from 23 matches, four clear of second-placed Scotland, who have played one extra game.

Who is Milind Kumar?

Milind Kumar is an Indian-origin cricketer who now represents the United States national team. Born on February 15, 1991, in Delhi, India, he carved a phenomenal domestic career before moving to the USA in 2021.

A right-handed middle-order batter, Milind featured prominently for Delhi, Sikkim, and Tripura in the Ranji Trophy and also appeared in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

His standout domestic moment came in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy season, when he topped the charts with more than 1,300 runs.

Having shared the dressing room with stars like Virat Kohli, under whom he played during the 2013 NKP Salve Challenger Trophy, Milind first came to national attention after an unbeaten 78 against a visiting England side in 2013.

He made his first-class debut in 2011 for Delhi, earning the Player of the Match award for a debut century, and later represented India in various domestic competitions, including the Duleep Trophy.

After moving to the United States, Milind became eligible to represent his new home in international cricket and debuted in T20 Internationals against Canada in April 2024.

Although he was part of the USA’s squad for the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup, he is still awaiting his first appearance in the tournament.

Alongside his international commitments, Milind also features in Major League Cricket, bringing his vast experience from Indian domestic cricket to the growing American cricket scene.
