The deceased victims have since been identified as a 72-year-old Beverly Gum and 32-year-old Christina Combs by the coroner at a news conference.

Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weather said that a yet to be officially named suspect was also killed in the aftermath. Preliminary reports maintained that the shooter had fled the scene after an initial altercation until he was located and shot dead.

Alleged Kentucky shooting suspect: What we know about Guy E House

Despite law enforcement authorities’ silence as of now, social media erupted with claims about a certain man being responsible for all horrifying development. A news website called Channel2NOW.com also claimed the suspect linked to the shooting incident at Richmond Road Baptist Church was “identified as Guy House.”

Widely circulating X posts alleged the “Kentucky church shooter is identified as Guy E House, a ‘Free Palestine’ radical leftist.” Another post said, “Guy E House, a radical pro-Palestine leftist with anti-Trump and pro-immigration views, has been identified as the gunman in today’s Lexington, Kentucky church shooting that left two women dead and several others injured, including a state trooper.”

In a third tweet, a user even went as far as suggesting that they had grown up with “the big dummy who did this!” They claimed, “he had been trying to be a rapper since he was a kid and word is that he was still chasing that dream at 55+ years old.”

Though adding that they had no idea whether the prime suspect’s name had been released yet, they wrote, “but his name was Guy House. Some people just never grow up.”

Responding to a post that read, “Lexington Kentucky Church Shooter is a Free Palestine Muslim named Guy E House. He hates Christians,” some other X user countered, “Guy Estill House is 47 years old. He has many arrests going back to 1999, for drunkenness, traffic offenses and possession of weapons by a felon. Really doubt there’s any ideology here.”

Guy House’s prior criminal record

Another user’s post helped resurface a three-year-old local news report, indicating that a man named Guy House was arrested and charged with first degree fleeing and evading, resisting arrest, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

A leading news and information provider in Central Kentucky, LEX18, affiliated with NBC, wrote at the time, “Lexington police said officers observed a man with known warrants shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday near Ramada Inn on North Broadway.” As officers attempted to approach him, the man fled into the woods near Interstate 75 and North Broadway with a firearm.

The Lexington Emergency Response Unit and Crisis Negotiations Unit personnel responded to the issue and ultimately negotiated with the person involved, as he turned himself in without incident.

MAGA’s Laura Loomer also amplified the claims on X, saying, “Today, a “free Gaza” Muslim in Kentucky who was wearing a Palestinian keffiyeh opened fire on a state trooper.” In a scathing attack on the “Palestinian movement,” she wrote further, “Muslims are opening fire on Christians in churches in America and are trying to murder law enforcement officers while wearing the Palestinian Keffiyeh.”

It has yet to be confirmed if this “Guy House” is the same person as the aforementioned individuals. The Financial Express couldn’t individually confirm at the time of writing whether the man named in social media reports was the official suspect named in the Kentucky shooting.
