US President Donald Trump, in a post on Truth Social, has urged Microsoft to terminate Lisa Monaco, its head of global affairs. Monaco also served as a senior National Security aide under Barack Obama and Deputy Attorney General under Joe Biden’s administration, when criminal cases were brought against Trump.
“Monaco has been shockingly hired as the President of Global Affairs for Microsoft, in a very senior role with access to Highly Sensitive Information,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social, adding that she “cannot be allowed” to stand. He even called her a “menace to US National Security”.
He further added, “She is a menace to US National Security, especially given the major contracts that Microsoft has with the United States Government.”
Trump said that since Monaco had committed many “wrongful acts”, she has been banned from all federal properties and that his administration barred her from any access to National Security Intelligence.
He went on to suggest, “It is my opinion that Microsoft should immediately terminate the employment of Lisa Monaco.”
Investigative journalist Laura Loomer took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal that after she alerted Trump about Monaco’s employment by Microsoft, he urged the tech giant to terminate her.
“After I alerted President Trump to the fact that Microsoft has hired Lisa Monaco to be their new President of Global Affairs, he has just called on Microsoft to terminate her employment,” she wrote on X.
Loomer tagged Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and asked, “Are you going to comply? Or continue to be two-faced?”
