US First Lady Melania Trump is out to get all those who seek to defame her and allege links between her and the late disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. Having already taken down media outlet The Daily Beast and longtime Democratic strategist James Carville, she and her legal team has now come for former First Son Hunter Biden.

The former model has been keeping a low profile on social media these days. Both her last two posts, dated August 1 and 7 (IST), have curtly addressed how she’s dealt with the widespread backlash while her husband, US President Donald Trump continues to be engulfed in the controversial Epstein saga. Consequently, many have tried to drag into the controversy as well, suggesting that the deceased pedophile was the one who introduced her to her then-future husband.

Melania Trump vs Hunter Biden over Epstein files

As part of a series of legal actions taking down all those who insinuate such and such, Melania’s attorney has hit former President Joe Biden’s son with a billion-dollar threat, asking him to “immediately retract the false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statements” he brought up about her during a recent interview. Earlier this month, Biden appeared on the YouTube show ‘Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan,’ where he alleged “Epstein introduced Melania to Trump.”

However, the first lady has long rejected the claim, with even her self-titled memoir insisting that she crossed paths with Donald Trump at New York City’s Kit Kat Club in September 1998, minus any interventions from Epstein.

“Failure to comply will leave Mrs. Trump with no choice but to pursue any and all legal rights and remedies available to her to recover the overwhelming financial and reputational harm that you have caused her to suffer,” attorney Alejandro Brito wrote in an August 6 demand letter addressed to Hunter Biden and his lawyer, Abbe Lowell, as per Fox News.

Taking a dig at the ex-first son, Melania’s attorney added, “Given your vast history of trading on the names of others – including your surname – for your personal benefit, it is obvious that you published these false and defamatory statements about Mrs Trump to draw attention to yourself.”

In addition to demanding an immediate retraction of the video in question, Brito pushed Hunter to swiftly issue an apology for his statements as well. The alarming letter, noting Hunter was “on notice,” charged that if the controversy-riddled businessman failed to comply with what has been asked of him by August 7, 2025, at 5 pm EST, Melania would “enforce her legal and equitable rights, all of which are expressly reserved and are not waived, including by filing legal action for over $1 Billion Dollars in damages.”

Melania Trump’s swift action against ‘defaming’ alleged Epstein links

Hunter Biden is now the third person, or entity, to be hit with such a letter from Melania’s team. She initially demanded an apology from The Daily Beast, pushing them to pull out an article alleging a link between her and Jeffrey Epstein. Much like Biden relying on longtime Trump biographer Michael Wolff’s claims about Melania and Epstein’s connection, the US outlet also covered what the author said on its podcast.

“She’s introduced by a model agent, both of whom Trump and Epstein are involved with. She’s introduced to Trump that way,” Wolff said during his appearance on ‘The Daily Beast Podcast.’ Asserting “Epstein knows her well,” he also contended that tapes he’d recorded once caught the convicted sex offender saying that Trump liked to “f***” his friends’ wives and sleep with Melania on Epstein’s jet, infamously known as ‘Lolita Express.’

Similarly, James Carville, a former Bill Clinton campaign manager, was also forced to get rid of his podcast episode, titled “James Carville: The EPSTEIN Connection – TRUMP & MELANIA,” after Melania’s legal team pushed him to apologise for suggesting that she was a “key figure” in the Trump-Epstein friendship back then.

Furthermore, the Democratic pundit insisted on there being a “deep dark secret,” as he said, ” Trump had a modelling agency, then Epstein got into the modelling agency, and then Jean-Luc Brunel, the guy in Paris, had a modelling agency, and he hung himself.” He went on at the time, “Two out of the three people ended up hanging themselves. There is really a deep dark secret somewhere underneath all this.”
