An American traveller’s recent public meltdown with a Southwest Airlines staffer at the Denver International Airport has gone viral, with netizens calling the episode “unhinged”.

In a TikTok video, the woman, who was not identified, was seen berating the airline employee, while waiting to board a flight.

“POV: You’re running off two hours of sleep after a work trip and this is your airport experience,” Graboyes captioned the video.

The woman could also be seen screaming at fellow passengers, saying: “Do you guys feel safe?!”, adding in a “get sued, b***h” toward one of the staffers.

Denver airport meltdown: What caused the uproar?

“How dare you treat me this way? How dare you…Why is our plane late…Why are not we boarding?” the woman could be heard saying in the video.

According to TMZ, witnesses said the woman was denied boarding because the plane was already full.

“You tell me I cannot board now? Because I questioned why it is late?!” she fumed, holding her phone in her hand and filming the staff the entire time.

‘Woman wanted airline staffer fired’

The woman at one point requested someone “breathalyse” her and also demanded that someone “come and get” the worker she was berating and fire them, Graboyes claimed, according to several reports.

The woman also threatened to sue the airline staffer, New York post reported.

Graboyes went to check on the airline employee, who was visibly upset after being screamed at, she wrote in the comment section of her video.

“She had tears in her eyes when I went over to check on her afterwards I felt so bad,” Graboyes said.

Ordeal lasted 30 minutes

It reportedly took 30 minutes for airport security to arrive and lead the woman away to cheers from fellow passengers, Graboyes said in the comments under her video, New York Post reported
