The current US scenario seems to be all about immigration and deportation debates, with foreign nationals bearing the brunt of the worst of the stock. However, that still doesn’t take away the fact that certain international citizens seeking asylum abroad are either responsible or have been accused of some of the worst kind of crimes. With US authorities repeatedly reminding foreigners that breaking the law and other immigration violations will inevitably lead to legal consequences, Elon Musk has shed light on a related headline taking place on a different overseas soil.

“If horrifically raping a small child doesn’t result in deportation, what does?” the tech titan, who himself is a legal immigrant in the US, fumed on X Monday night (IST). His recent tweet emerged in response to an English woman’s post alluding to a Daily Mail headline titled “Pakistani asylum seeker appears in court accused of raping eight-year-old girl and subjecting her to multiple sex attacks.”

The woman wrote on X, “Pakistani asylum seeker raped an 8 year old child TWICE then made her watch sex acts. What kind of monster does that?”

Musk’s post alone had amassed over 26 million views at the time of writing. Moreover, it aligns with his reiterated criticism of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer over a decade-old child rape scandal consuming Britain.

Elon Musk refers to news of rape-accused Pakistani migrant subjecting little girl to sex acts

Earlier this month, it was reported that Karman Khan, a 43-year-old Pakistani migrant, made his court appearance after being accused of repeatedly raping an 8-year-old girl. He is believed to have engaged in the misconduct twice between September 2024 and July 2025. Khan is also said to have forced the child to watch a third party engage in sexual activity.

Reportedly based in Streatham High Road, south London, Khan is claimed to have even made the little girl make him ejaculate, putting his hand and penis on her genitals. The unspeakable incidents were alleged to have taken place in Lambeth.

What’s next for the Pakistani asylum seeker

Aided by an Urdu interpreter in court, Khan not only denied the two counts of rape, but also two counts of causing a child to watch a sex act, four counts of sexually assaulting a child and two counts of causing a child under 16 to engage in sexual activity.

He has been held in custody. A seven-day trial is scheduled for January 5, 2026.

Elon Musk’s deportation links back to his previous UK criticism over child rape scandal

Back in January, the tech mogul unloaded his criticism of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer over the child rape scandal – allegedly perpetrated by gangs of Pakistani men – that has rocked the UK for over a decade. As he accused the international leader (then-leading prosecutor) and other senior politicians of covering up the scandal, officials hit back against his scathing allegations at the time, calling him “misinformed.”

The UK grooming gang scandal refers to a 2014 report estimating that over 1,400 girls were sexually exploited in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013. At the time, girls as young as 11 years of age were said to have been raped, while local officials claimed that the children were engaging in consensual sex acts.

As per the report in question, the majority of the known male perpetrators were of Pakistani-origin. Meanwhile, local officials and others reportedly chose to keep most of their ethnic origins under wraps, fearing they may be seen as racist, as per Reuters. All in all, no such perceived cover up was discovered following an investigation into similar cases in Oldham.

Starmer’s role was crucial to it all, as he was the director of public prosecutions between 2008 and 2013. Before leaving the role, it was suggested that he was handling the highest number of child sexual abuse cases and even made way for the first significant prosecution of a gang accused of grooming and rape.

With Starmer’s government elected in July 2024, opposition politicians called for a national inquiry into the matter as Britain continues to be a subject of numerous such investigations tied to child abuse. Elon Musk made matters worse for Starmer by amplifying his accusations, saying the UK PM was “complicit in the rape of Britain,” and asking him to quit, suggesting that he failed to prosecute when he was leading the Crown Prosecution Service.

UPDATE: Shortly after his initial post on X, Musk returned to the platform, referencing the resurfaced investigation surrounding the decade-old scandal.

“85 cities in Britain where local authorities were complicit in the rape of children,” he wrote on X, re-posting former Reform MP Rupert Lowe’s post addressing the release of details surrounding the “Rape Gang Inquiry.” In what he called “one of the most comprehensive exposes of the rape gang scandal to date, he shared the document detailing the identification of 85 local authorities in which gang-based sexual exploitation in taking place, or has historically done so.
