US President Donald Trump is slated to raise millions of dollars this month by hosting two gala dinners for deep-pocketed political donors with crypto links. The first event — a $1.5 million-per-plate fundraiser — will be held on Monday and hosted by MAGA Inc. The second event will offer access to Trump’s inner circle for holders of his $TRUMP memecoin with guests selected through an ongoing contest.

According to reports, the ‘Crypto and AI Innovators Dinner’on Monday will feature Donald Trump and David Sacks as special guests. Proceeds from the $1.5 million meal with benefit the MAGA Inc super PAC for which the POTUS has been aggressively raising funds ahead of the midterm elections in 2026. Sacks is a close ally of DOGE chief Elon Musk and has been helping to rewrite the country’s crypto and artificial intelligence rules.

His memecoin-linked upcoming gala however sparked bipartisan outrage with several Republican leaders joining their Democratic counterparts in criticising the plan. Critics argue that the essentially monetises access to the White House and raises major ethical concerns — repeatedly downplayed by the Trump Organisation as well as the US government. The ongoing ‘contest’ to win a spot at the gala dinner with Trump had also sent the $TRUMP token surging more than 50% after the gala was announced.

The official website for the memecoin had announced last week that the top 220 holders would be invited for an “intimate private dinner” with the President on May 22. The top 25 investors have been promised invitations for a ‘VIP White House tour’ the next day
