US President Donald Trump announced that the long-awaited Epstein files are set to be released soon. Speaking in an interview with Sharyl Attkisson on Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson, Trump stated, “It is moving along and it’s moving along pretty rapidly.” He praised Attorney General Pam Bondi, calling her efforts “phenomenal,” and emphasised, “The bottom line is, the records are getting out.”

Additionally, Trump confirmed that classified records related to the assassination of John F. Kennedy will also be released “within weeks.” He noted, “The Kennedy records are getting out. Those are the ones they really wanted to see the most. It’s gonna be released.”

Trump’s remarks follow Bondi’s recent statement claiming she had received a “truckload” of unreleased Epstein-related documents from the FBI’s Southern District of New York. However, she did not specify when the files would be made public.

In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Bondi assured that the Department of Justice (DOJ) is working “as fast as we can” to review the documents, adding that they “are going to come out.” She also demanded a “full report” explaining why these files had remained at the FBI’s New York field office.

Bondi faces criticism over delays

Since assuming office, Bondi had pledged to release the Epstein files, but delays have led to frustration among conservatives and MAGA influencers. Last month, activists gathered outside the White House with binders labeled The Epstein Files: Phase 1, but many of the documents contained publicly available information, sparking accusations of a political stunt.

Far-right activist Laura Loomer criticised Bondi, saying, “There is one person who takes the blame for what happened today. It’s Pam Bondi. She should resign.” Loomer claimed Bondi had misled the public by promising a release that never happened.

On February 27, Bondi sent a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel, accusing the agency of withholding critical documents. “I repeatedly questioned whether this was the full set of documents responsive to my request and was repeatedly assured by the FBI that we had received the full set of documents,” she wrote.

However, she later discovered that the FBI’s New York Field Office still possessed “thousands of pages” related to Epstein’s investigation and indictment, which had never been disclosed.

As the controversy unfolds, Trump’s assurance of a release has intensified anticipation surrounding both the Epstein files and JFK assassination records.
