The Indian Embassy in Cambodia has issued an advisory for Indian nationals amid the Thailand and Cambodia border clash. “Indian nationals are advised to avoid travel to border areas,” reads the advisory. This comes a day after the Indian Embassy in Thailand issued a travel advisory for seven districts in Thailand with prominent tourist spots.
The death toll of the violent crashes has risen to 32 with several others seriously injured. With the war entering its third day, residents have started to flee their homes in search of a safer environment. The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) held an emergency closed-door meeting on Friday in New York. Malaysia lobbied for a ceasefire and called for hostilities to end and offered to mediate.

He added that Thailand has shown “the utmost restraint and patience” despite provocations and acts of aggression from Cambodia.
