US Vice President JD Vance has stated that the United States will not directly intervene in the ongoing India-Pakistan situation, stressing that it is “none of our business.” In an interview with Fox News, Vance explained that while the US could encourage both sides to reduce tensions, it would not become involved in a conflict that does not directly concern America or fall within its control.

Vance added that America cannot dictate to India or Pakistan regarding their actions and will continue to address the issue through diplomatic channels. He further expressed hope that the situation would not escalate into a larger regional war or, worse, a nuclear conflict. He stated, “Right now, we don’t think that’s going to happen.”

Earlier, US President Donald Trump had expressed concern over the rising tensions between India and Pakistan. He said he has good relations with both countries and hopes they can resolve the situation peacefully.

Trump mentioned that the two nations have a long history of conflict and expressed his desire to see the hostilities come to an end soon. He added that if there’s any way he can assist in calming the situation, he is willing to help.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Pakistan escalated the tensions by launching drones, missiles, and artillery strikes targeting both civilian and military areas.

India, in retaliation to the Pahalgam attack, had carried out strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) as part of Operation Sindoor.
