In her self-titled autobiography, former First Lady Melania Trump opens up about the concerns and challenges she faced after her husband, Donald Trump, became the President of the United States. Reflecting on the pivotal moment, Melania revealed the weight of responsibility that came with her new role, as well as her worries for their son, Barron Trump.
“While the joy of our victory was overwhelming, my mind quickly shifted to the multitude of tasks before us, as I contemplated the weight of responsibility and the challenges that lay ahead,” Melania wrote. She explained that her thoughts were particularly focused on how the political shift would impact Barron, who was just a teenager at the time.
“I also couldn’t help but think about Barron and how this new stage in our lives would impact him,” she shared in the book. Melania’s concerns echoed the struggles of balancing family life with her duties as the First Lady. Despite the challenges, she was determined to adapt, carefully planning how to balance her roles as a mother, wife, and public figure.
“I had to carefully strategize to balance multiple roles – mother, wife, First Lady, daughter, sister, and friend,” Melania recalled. She was resolute in ensuring a smooth transition into her public life, despite the newfound fame and media scrutiny.
Before President Trump’s recent inauguration, Melania spoke to Fox and Friends, expressing that she now has “much more experience” and “much more knowledge” regarding her role. “I will be in the White House. And you know when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach,” she explained. “But my first priority is, you know, to be a mom, to be a first lady, to be a wife,” Melania affirmed.
Barron Trump, now 18, is currently studying at New York University. He has also become an active participant in his father’s political journey, helping Donald Trump target the under-30 demographic. Barron is preparing to enter the business world, with plans to launch a luxury real estate venture focused on high-end properties and golf courses in states like Utah, Arizona, and Idaho.
As Barron embarks on his own entrepreneurial journey, Melania continues to navigate her role as a public figure while prioritizing her family.
