The son of former YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki was found unresponsive in his college dormitory at UC Berkeley, PEOPLE reported citing a school spokesperson. Aged 19, Marco Troper, was found unresponsive on Tuesday afternoon at about 4:23 pm after which the campus police was alerted by Berkeley Fire Department that they were “attempting life-saving measures” on the teenager, a statement given by the University of California Police Department, Berkeley to PEOPLE revealed.

How did Wojcicki’s son die?

Moments after Berkeley Fire Department alerted the campus police, Trooper was pronounced dead. The campus police said the cause of his death is not known at present and that there were no signs of foul play.

Esther Wojcicki, Troper’s grandmother, reportedly confirmed his death on Facebook on Thursday saying that the family had laid the teenager to rest and are “devastated beyond comprehension”.

“Marco’s life was cut too short. And we are all devastated, thinking about all the opportunities and life experiences that he will miss and we will miss together. Marco, we all love you and miss you more than you will ever know,” Esther finished.

Esther told SFGATE that she believes that Troper died of a drug overdose. She said that he ingested a drug. They are not sure which drug it was.
