The attack involved a suicide bomber who rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the FC convoy. Following the explosion, other militants opened fire on the security personnel, leading to an intense exchange of gunfire. Three militants were killed in the clash.
Noshki Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hashim Momand confirmed the high-intensity blast and the injuries of at least 30 paramilitary soldiers. “The death toll could rise as several injured soldiers are in critical condition,” he warned.
This incident follows the BLA’s recent hijacking of the Jaffar Express passenger train.
