Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Sunday said that he’ll travel to Moscow in the afternoon to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin tomorrow morning. The statement comes in a media briefing after the US struck Iranian nuclear sites with its B-2 stealth bomber fighter plane.
Araghchi responded to a question from a Russian media outlet in a news briefing at a conference in Turkiye. “We enjoy a strategic partnership and we always consult with each other and coordinate our positions,” he said, referring to Russia.
Iran’s FM further mentioned the nuclear deal negotiations with the United States and said about briefing Russia about any progress or lack of progress. He said, “I will have a serious consultation with the Russian President tomorrow and we continue to work with each other”.
In a post on X, Araghchi slammed the United States of America, accusing it of committing a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT by attacking Iran’s nuclear installations.
The United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT by attacking Iran's peaceful nuclear installations.

The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting…
He also alarmed all the members of the United Nations of the US violations and attributed it as dangerous, lawless and criminal behaviour. He further said that Iran has the right to defend its sovereignty and people. The FM further said that the UN Charter and its provisions allow Iran to give a legitimate response in self-defence.
Escalation by the United States
In a military escalation, the United States deployed its elite B-2 Spirit stealth bombers on Saturday to execute precision airstrikes against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. President Donald Trump confirmed the mission, which successfully targeted three sites, including the heavily fortified Fordow enrichment facility, described by him as the ‘crown jewel’ of Iran’s nuclear program.
Trump declared ‘Fordow is gone,’ hailing the operation as ‘very successful.’ These strikes, showcasing the B-2 Spirit’s advanced capabilities to penetrate air defences and strike hardened bunkers undetected, provide a rare insight into the formidable power of the US arsenal.”
