In a tragic incident, Sai Teja Nukarapu, a 22-year-old from Khammam district, Telangana, was shot dead by miscreants at a gas station near Chicago, United States in the early hours of Saturday (Indian Standard Time), reports PTI.

According to BRS MLC Madhusudan Thatha, Sai Teja was not on duty at the time of the incident. He had stayed back at the gas station to assist a friend who had requested him to cover temporarily while attending to personal work. Unfortunately, during this time, Sai Teja was attacked.

The MLC, who visited the victim’s family, assured them of full support and stated that he had contacted the Telugu Association of North America (TANA) for assistance.
