Both US President Donald Trump and First lady Melania Trump embraced the Halloween spirit on Thursday (US time). Several videos of countless young trick-or-treaters coming out to collect candy at the annual White House event went viral on social media. The little soiree captured the 79-year-old MAGA leader having some fun, as he rocked his signature red-coloured 45-47 POTUS baseball cap while high-fiving multiple young doppelgangers.

Trump’s viral Minion candy moment resurfaces

Holding out baskets full of candy, Trump’s White House Halloween celebrations once again proved that he is just as chronically online as any other Gen Z netizen. In an apparently conscious move, he recreated a viral moment from 2019. Six years ago, Trump earned loud traction on X for placing a piece of candy on a Minion’s head. Chuckling through it all, Melania also followed suit at the time.

Cut to present day, @TrupWarRoom, “the official War Room account of President Donald J. Trump’s political operation,” couldn’t help but re-share the major throwback ahead of this year’s Halloween bash. Fortunately for those awaiting Trump to pull the a 2.0 of hilarious incident, the Republican POTUS actually pulled it off, as he was seen putting a candy bar on the head of a kid dressed as the masked DJ and record producer Marshmello (or possibly just a simple marshmallow).

McDonald’s Halloween outfit at White House

An “epic” rendition of a McDonald’s “Order Here” costume also drove through the White House. The exciting choice was undoubtedly a direct reference to Donald Trump surprising customers as a supposed employee of the fast food chain during his 2024 presidential campaign stop. “President Trump, former McDonald’s worker himself, greets new Drive-Thru employees at the White House,” the official White House Rapid Response account shared on X.

Young trick-or-treater’s Trump Halloween makeover

Walking down as a trio, a group of kids was pictured cosplaying Trump and the former model, while being flanked by their third young partner seemingly dressed up as security personnel or a Secret Service agent looking out for them.

The first lady was even snapped comforting a young trick-or-treater who seemed to have been overwhelmed by the Halloween celebrations at the White House. Other such moments saw Trump signing a golf ball for a kid dressed up as a pro golfer. Cosplay sightings even included Winnie-the-Pooh and retired NFL star Tom Brady.

One such picture published by the Associated Press showed White House advisor Stephen Miller, his wife, Katie Miller dressed as a skeleton, and their children dropping by for candy. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, also came down to greet the POTUS with their son, Niko.

While superheroes of all sorts, dinosaurs, princesses, storm troopers, athletes and whatnot strolled down to the White House for trick-or-treating, the Air Force Band soundtracked the whole affair with tunes like instrumental renditions of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire,” and Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive.”
