Donald Trump may as well be announced an official brand ambassador for McDonald’s, given the number of times he had made headlines for his association with fast food franchise. Inevitably, his informal association with the burger giant may have led many to wonder what would be the go-to menu order of the president of the United States. Curious minds have finally got their answer to big question, thanks to a US senator dropping a bombshell proclamation on the matter.

Donald Trump’s McDonald’s order revealed

As it turns out, the 79-year-old president’s McDonald’s pick is actually a special custom-made order involves smooshing multiple burgers to make a jump sandwich, according to Republican National Committee chair Joe Gruters.

During his appearance on the Chambers, Changes, and Conversations podcast, the Trump ally broke his silence on once having witnessed first-hand what the president’s meal was all about. Gruters called the presidential fast food order one of the “funniest or unexpected” things the Florida state senator had witnessed on the election campaign trail with the Republican leader.

Bewildered by the “amount and what the president eats,” Gruters was also curious to catch a taste of Trump’s McDonald’s burger sandwich. Recounting his plane ride with him, the RNC chair said, “When I was with him, he had hot fries waiting for him from McDonald’s. I got my fries at my chair, but he had his handed to him right when he got on the plane.”

He further revealed that Trump had a Filet-o-Fish, a Big Mac and a Quarter Pounder with an orange soda, which he believed the MAGA leader combined. After having tried the shocking combination himself, Gruters said it left him “sick as a dog for 24 hours,” but he also confessed to have enjoyed the meal.

Having suffered on his hand, Gruters couldn’t help but question how someone as “senior” as the POTUS could “get away with eating all this McDonald’s probably on a consistent basis.”

Referring to the number of times Trump has gone viral for his McDonald’s love, the US senator pushed that the brand should respond in kind. “He loves McDonald’s. McDonald’s should be paying that guy,” he recommended.

Trump changed his McDonald’s order?

Years-old reports on the fast food fan’s McD orders highlighted different order details. Corey Lewandowski, who was fired from his post as Trump’s campaign manager, and top aide David Bossie mentioned in their 2017 book “Let Trump Be Trump” that the politician would consume “two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish, and a chocolate malted” – all as one meal.

They further claimed that Trump would regularly down fast food during his plane trips. “On Trump Force One, there were four major food groups: McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, pizza, and Diet Coke,” the co-authors wrote.

Even Robert F Kennedy Jr, the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, is all for the president’s love for fast food. Aligning his “Make America Healthy Again” initiative with targeting processed food or pesticides instead, he said at a Senate hearing in January, “I don’t want to take food away from anybody. If you like… a McDonald’s cheeseburger, Diet Coke, which my boss loves, you should be able to get them.”

Presidential McDonald’s order sparks health concerns

The RNC chair is not the only one to have raised health concerns over Trump’s McDonald’s order. While also questioning the POTUS’ alignment with the ‘MAHA’ initiative, some joked that he loved McDonald’s so much because it had his name in it.

Reacting to Gruters question, a user, “He doesn’t get away with it. He’s in poor health,” while also alleging that he was suffering from multiple health hazards. Someone else called it the “the unhealthiest order you could possibly order.” In a contrasting take, someone else commented, “3 burgers ok he might actually be some kind of genius I never even considered eating 3 burgers wow.”

Meanwhile, California Gov Gavin Newsom, a staunch Trump critic, again took his chance to troll the Republican politician about how his tariffs would be impacting McDonald’s prices. “Thanks to Donald Trump your Big Mac will now be $9,” he tweeted on X.

Trump’s viral McDonald’s moments

Ahead of last year’s US presidential election in November, Donald Trump put on an apron and surprised customers at McDonald’s in Pennsylvania. Although his attempts to woo the working class indirectly meant to troll Kamala Harris over claims that she once worked at the fast food chain, his viral stunt is just one such instance that led to his name being attached with the eatery’s brand.

In addition to the viral stunt of him serving fries at Pennsylvania outlet, the MAGA leader’s in-flight party with Robert F Kennedy, Elon Musk, Mike Johnson and his son Donald Trump Jr aboard the Trump Force One again gained unprecedented traction on social media.

The all-smiles picture caught the now-POTUS enjoying a loaded McDonald’s meal alongside his fellow passengers after the 79-year-old’s UFC outing in New York City.
