Video of a man driving a Thar recklessly in a busy area in Noida went viral in which his vehicle was seen hitting several two-wheelers and a car. The Delhi resident fled the scene following an argument with a shopkeeper.
A day after the incident, Noida Police arrested the driver on Wednesday. According to police, the incident occurred when the driver arrived at the Noida Phase 1 car market to install speakers in his car. Following a disagreement with a shopkeeper, the driver became agitated and drove off in a careless manner. A video of the incident, which has since gone viral online, shows two people riding a two-wheeler falling off when their vehicle was struck by the SUV.

Noida Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Ram Badan Singh stated, “The driver of a Thar SUV came to install speakers but got into an argument with a shopkeeper.” Police confirmed that the driver is a resident of Delhi. After the argument, he drove away recklessly, causing significant damage to other vehicles.
A case has been registered at the Phase 1 police station in Noida, and the driver was later arrested.
The accident happened on Monday evening in Noida’s Sector 16, close to a car market, where the SUV was traveling on the wrong side of the road, colliding with several parked cars before speeding away. The scene was chaotic in a video that has been circulating on social media. The video captures the black Thar SUV moving in the wrong direction on a small road at high speed, crashing into parked two-wheelers. Bystanders are seen running to escape being hit by the car.

The SUV also hit a signboard, which fell over, before it sped away. The police have initiated a manhunt to find the driver, and a case has been filed for rash driving.
