As per the recent chatter, the grapevine has got netizens wondering if Barron Trump has possibly slam dunk his way into winning the heart of a rising WNBA star.

Although the week-old NewsNation report didn’t reveal the identity of the purported secret woman in Barron’s life, a viral TikTok video, which is now also doing numbers on X, had a lot to spill. The video in question pushed the theory that Indiana Fever’s #22 guard Caitlin Clark may just as well be the teen Trump’s first girlfriend.

“… rumour has it, they’re not just close. They might already be secretly engaged,” the viral video narrates. Without actually offering anything substantial to back the claims, the clip attempts to list “three clues that make the gossip feel very real.”

Hollow claims seeking to push Barron Trump Caitlin Clark theory

The first of three so-called clues claimed that the American basketball star made the first move by starting a conversation with Barron at a private event. The video even alleged that the unlikely pair secretly visited a veteran centre together. “That kind of quiet one-on-one time super rare for someone as high profile as Caitlin,” it goes on.

The second clue re-directs attention to the 19-year-old NYU student reportedly transferring one of his homes worth $8.5 million into a “mystery trust called B&T,” which is now being perceived as a reference to Barron and Caitlin’s alleged relationship. The video cites users envisioning the put-together trust as a sign of merged assets, or possibly even a prenup in the works.

With that in mind, the third “clue” appears to make a case for the alleged romance. Without actually sharing any close-ups, the clip says that Caitlin Clark was once spotted wearing a necklace with a “B&T” pendant on it. The same symbol was allegedly also pictured on Barron Trump’s birthday cake once. The unverified theory goes as far as arguing that the supposed logo was designed by First lady Melania Trump herself.

In hopes of setting the conversation right, an X user blasted the “dumbest rumour… ever,” saying that ‘B&T’ “doesn’t stand for Barron and Caitlin. It stands for Barron & Trump.” On the flip side, someone considered the possibility of them being together, envisioning them having “very tall children,” given Clark’s basketball status and Trump son’s 6 ft 9 height.

Contrary to what comes off as a delusional theory, Caitlin Clark is dating Connor McCaffery, a fellow basketball player and University of Iowa himself. According to People, the couple’s romance began in April 2023. Clark only went public about it month later when she posted a snap with the fellow former Hawkeye on her Instagram.
