In order to resolve the problem of freshers not being able to land a job via LinkedIn, a man from Haryana, now living in Canada, along with his friend took up the challenge to build their own job platform, Dhyaadi.com. Dhyaadi roughly translates to ‘daily wage work’ in English.
Though the name in itself is amusing, what caught the netizens attention was the hilarious pitch the founders made for the website.
A video of the website pitch is doing rounds on social media, where Navjeet Singh and his friend can be seen introducing the concept and their motivation behind developing such a platform.
“Hello everyone, we’ve created a website called Dhyaadi.com,” one of the founders starts, keeping a straight face, and went on to explain the name of teh website: “In Canada, we do shift-based gig work, and in Haryanvi, we call that Dhyaadi (daily wage work).”
“It’s a platform where jobs can be found for newcomers and inexperienced people. It’s a place for the ‘rejected’ ones,” he added while an ear-to-ear smile took over his straight face.
Take a look at the video here:
The video has left social media users gasping for breath. “This guy is trying so hard not to laugh!,” one user commented on the video. Another added, “Only one word—Shabbash.”
A third user joked, “No more ‘unfortunately’ replies,” while someone else quipped, “I’m making majduri.com.”
While it’s uncertain how many job seekers will flock to Dhyaadi.com, one thing’s for sure: the video gave a good laugh to everyone.
