A video from Las Vegas showing an Indian woman arguing with an Uber driver has gone viral on social media. The argument appeared to have started when the driver claimed the passenger had been at the wrong pickup point for 10 minutes, which caused a delay. The passenger, however, insisted that she was waiting at the right spot and that the driver was the one who arrived late. The video has sparked a flood of reactions online.
Woman seen arguing with Uber driver in viral Las Vegas video
The clip was posted on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “This Las Vegas Uber driver was brutally slapped by a passenger who the driver claims was waiting at the wrong pickup location for 10 minutes which led to the passenger being mad. She argued with the driver and assaulted her at the end of the video.”
The video opened with the woman shouting at the driver, hurling slurs and calling her “unprofessional,” while the driver remained behind the wheel and told her she could record the interaction if she wanted to. At one point, the woman told the driver, “You cannot cancel a ride after making us wait for 10 minutes when you went to the wrong place.” The Uber driver immediately denied it, saying she had not gone to the wrong location. The woman then yelled that Uber riders were supposed to wait at the designated Uber pickup area and not at the valet stand. “I was here. You were not here,” she added.
The driver repeatedly asked her to lower her voice. Toward the end of the video, the passenger reached toward the driver and appeared to slap the phone she was recording on. The phone seemed to fall, and the clip ended abruptly.

Social media reacts
The video has triggered strong reactions across X, with people divided over who was at fault. Some users believe the passenger was confused about the pickup point, adding that large Las Vegas resorts often have multiple rideshare pickup areas. “I’m sure the passenger was in the wrong spot. If you’re in a big resort, there are sometimes multiple rideshare pickup spots… I’m sure she chose the wrong one.” Others criticised the woman’s behaviour, saying no driver deserves to be shouted at or assaulted while simply doing their job. “No driver deserves to be assaulted for doing their job… Accountability needs to be immediate in cases like this.”
“Indians must be deported… This is not their country,” a social media user commented. “Everyone involved in this video should be deported immediately,” one more chimed in. “If someone can’t handle a simple pickup issue without turning violent, they shouldn’t be on the platform at all.”
The incident comes amid growing anti-foreigner sentiment in the US, with the Trump administration carrying out a larger immigration crackdown, including massive ICE raids, H-1B visa fee hikes, deportations, asylum restrictions, and green card limitations, all in line with the ‘America First’ agenda.
