Indian singer and music director B Praak has revealed that he was scheduled to appear at YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast but declined following the latter’s inappropriate remarks on comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. Calling the incident “pathetic,” Praak urged all panel members to show respect for comedy.

Expressing his disappointment on Instagram, Praak announced that he would no longer be attending the podcast episode he was scheduled for. He condemned Ranveer’s sexually offensive comment, criticizing the language used in the episode as “pathetic” and contrary to Indian culture. He also questioned the nature of the stories being shared about parents and the manner in which they were discussed, arguing that such content cannot be considered comedy or stand-up.

Praak further criticised comedian Jaspreet Singh for promoting abusive language, questioning the values of the current generation. Specifically calling out Jaspreet, he questioned whether such behavior was appropriate for someone from the Sikh community. He expressed disapproval of Singh openly justifying the use of expletives on Instagram.

“Logon ko gaaliyan dena, logon ko gaaliyan sikhana – yeh kaunsi generation hai? Mujhe samajh nahi aa raha, yeh generation hai kaunsi? Aur dekho, ek Sardar ji aate hain… Sardar ji, aapko pata hai ki aap ek Sikh ho aur aapko yeh cheez shobha deti hai? ‘Mummy kaisi hai?’ Are you crazy? Aap kya sikh de rahe ho logon ko? Aap kya sikh de rahe ho? Aur woh Sardar ji apne Instagram pe bilkul daalte hain ke main gaaliyan deta hoon, toh isme kya problem hai? Humein problem hai aur rahegi,” he said in the clip.

“Abusing people, teaching people how to abuse – what kind of generation is this? I don’t understand, which generation is this? And look, a Sardar Ji comes… Sardar Ji, do you know that you are a Sikh, and does this behavior suit you? ‘How’s your mom?’ Are you crazy? What are you teaching people? What are you promoting? And that Sardar Ji openly posts on his Instagram that he abuses, so what’s the problem with that? We have a problem with it, and we always will,” he said in the clip.

Praak also called out Ranveer Allahbadia, highlighting the contradiction in his actions. He pointed out that while Ranveer promotes Sanatan Dharma and spirituality—often hosting renowned spiritual leaders on his podcast—his remarks reflect a degrading mindset. Praak asserted that such thinking is unacceptable and must be opposed.

Addressing comedians, including Samay Raina and others on the show, he urged them to stop creating content that negatively impacts future generations. He warned that if such content continues, it will have serious consequences for the youth.

With folded hands, Praak made a heartfelt appeal to preserve Indian culture, urging comedians to use their influence to inspire and motivate people rather than spreading harmful ideas. Given their widespread recognition, he believes they should focus on creating content that educates and uplifts audiences.
