Hugs, handshakes, and shoulder pats… The Indian dressing room was a happy place after a great semi-final against New Zealand. The team shook hands, hugged each other and congratulated each other after entering the finals. Indian Cricket team, on its Instagram handle, shared a heartwarming video of the post-match scenes from the pavilion.

In the video, coach Rahul Dravid can be seen shaking hands with the players, congratulating them for their performance. Spin Maestro Ravichandran Ashwin kissed the hand of Mohd Shami, who took 7 wickets and dismantled the batting unit of New Zealand. Similarly, Yuzvendra Chahal visited the dressing room and hugged Kohli. He later went on to catch up with Bumrah and Ishan Kishan. 

While Shami signed the bats, Rohit and Kohli can be seen embracing each other for their efforts in the video. With this remarkable win, Rohit Sharma’s squad notched their 10th consecutive triumph, securing a place in the showdown at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium this Sunday.

PM Modi congratulated Shami in a separate post and wrote, “The bowling by @MdShami11 in this game and also through the World Cup will be cherished by cricket lovers for generations to come.”
