The nation will probably come to a standstill when P V Sindhu raises her racket in the Rio Olympic Badminton finals today. Sindhu, is set to face Carolina Marin, world’s most dominant player over the last two years in Rio on Friday at 7pm IST. While Tweeterati is buzzing with wishes and hashtags such as #GoForGold and #PVSindhu, Cricketer Virat Kohli shared a ‘Velfie’,  a video selfie in order to send his best wishes to Sindhu.

In his video message, Kohli says that she has made the country proud by guaranteeing a silver medal and he hopes that she gets a gold today. “Be it gold or silver, you have made the country proud. You are truly a champion,” says Kohli in his ‘velfie’. The 27-second video is made by Virat Kohli in West Indies and was shared by him through his Twitter handle late on Thursday night.

Ahead of her match, locals in Delhi have organized a puja, while, Sports Minister Vijay Goel tweeted that the Ministry has installed a giant screen at the Central Park, Connaught Place, where the match will be broadcasted at 7pm today.
