Amid the celebration of India’s win over Pakistan by six runs in the T20 ICC Men’s World Cup, the internet has gone ROFL over the latest tweets congratulating the Indian Cricket team. The intense match took every viewer on their tip as India won their second match of the season, securing a place in the top 2 of the list.

From Delhi Police to Anand Mahindra- everyone congratulated Men in Blue

A few hours after the marvellous match between India and Pakistan, the Delhi Police shared a tweet tagging the New York Police to congratulate the Men in Blue in a slightly different and witty way.

The post by the Delhi Police gained significant traction, garnering over 30,000 likes and more than 5,500 retweets within a few hours. The Delhi Police humorously commented on the aftermath of the match, noting that they only heard two noises: “One is ‘Indiaaa…India!’, and another is probably of broken televisions. Can you please confirm?”

Anand Mahindra, Chairman of Mahindra Group, praised the Indian Cricket team for their remarkable comeback against Pakistan. He lauded the team for “snatching an entirely improbable victory from the jaws of defeat” and for their refusal to give up.

In his full post on the India-Pakistan cricket match, Mahindra humorously charged the team with “grave cruelty” for giving Pakistan false hope of victory before pulling off a dramatic win. He concluded by sentencing them to be “heroes forever.”

Food delivery platforms Zomato and Swiggy also joined in the celebration with witty posts on their X handles. Zomato’s post read, “dear pakistan, even on our worst days, we’re still the better side :),” while Swiggy shared two posts, one stating, “baap ko khush karne ka tareeka kaafi cazual hai. #INDvsPAK,” and another saying, “2nd down #INDvsPAK,” highlighting India’s consecutive victories against Ireland and Pakistan, with a match against the USA next.

In the Group A match at New York’s Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, Indian bowlers delivered an outstanding performance, helping the Men in Blue defend a modest total of 119 runs. Pakistan, despite a strong start, fell short, scoring 113/7 in 20 overs.

Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya were instrumental, taking a combined five wickets while conceding only 38 runs in 8 overs. Bumrah took three wickets, and Pandya secured two crucial dismissals. The nail-biting finish saw India win by six runs, much to the delight of the 34,000-strong crowd.
