Anushka Sharma, the wife of cricketer Virat Kohli, expressed their daughter Vamika’s worry for the Indian cricket players who were in tears following their team’s June 29, Saturday, T20 World Cup 2024 victory over South Africa. In an Instagram post revealing her daughter’s, Vamika, concern, she wrote, “Our daughter’s biggest concern was if all the players had someone to hug them after she saw them cry on tv….. Yes, My darling, they were hugged by 1.5 billion people What a phenomenal victory and what a legendary achievement!! CHAMPIONS – CONGRATULATIONS!!” posted Anushka.
Following India’s victory in the summit match, Virat Kohli startled everyone by declaring that this was his final T20I World Cup for India and that he is now retiring from T20I cricket. Kohli emphasised that India has a wealth of potential and that it is now up to the youth to advance T20I cricket and bring honour to the country.
In another post, Bollywood actress and producer Anushka Sharma, wrote a touching message for her husband. She wrote, “AND ….. I love this man @virat.kohli . So grateful to call you my home
