Novak Djokovic – the legend
The Serbian tennis legend holds he record for most Grand Slam titles in men’s tennis history with 24 wins. He has completed a career Grand Slam twice, achieved a double Golden Masters, and spent the most weeks as world No. 1. His consistency redefined the modern era of tennis as he just one title shy of having a draw with Margaret Court.
Court Philippe has given Djokovic a tough time with five of his defeats from 2011 and 2015. However, he also secured meaningful victories including his Olympic Gold on this court. An icon in the sport, he awaits the Wimbledon next calling it his “childhood favorite tournament.”
Is Djokovic retiring?
“Do I wish to play more, yes I do. But will I be able to play here in 12 months’ time, I don’t know,” Djokovic said. “I said it could have been my last match [here], I didn’t say it was.” He expressed his complete willingness to play Wimbledon and the US Open but would not commit to plans beyond that.
The French Open final will be between the world ranking one and two. Jannik Sinner as he progessed after defeating Djokivic and Carlos Alcaraz.
