The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially announced the venues for the Men’s Asia Cup 2025, which will be held in the UAE from September 9 to 28. One of the most anticipated matches of the tournament – India vs Pakistan – will take place at the Dubai International Stadium on September 14.
The tournament will open on September 9 with a match between Afghanistan and Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi. The final is scheduled for September 28 in Dubai.
Despite growing criticism over India agreeing to play against Pakistan following recent incidents like the Pahalgam terror attack and India’s retaliatory action named Operation Sindoor, the ACC has gone ahead and finalised the match locations.
Ind-Pak in same group
India and Pakistan are in the same group (Group A) along with UAE and Oman. Group B includes Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. If both India and Pakistan reach the Super Fours and eventually the final, they could face each other up to three times in the tournament.
India will start their Asia Cup campaign against the UAE on September 10 in Dubai. The tournament is being played in the T20 format as part of preparation for the T20 World Cup next year.
While the ACC had confirmed last year that the Asia Cup would be held in the UAE, the exact match venues were announced only now.
