Football star Cristiano Ronaldo may be officially engaged to Georgina Rodríguez after nearly a decade together. The Argentine-Spanish model shared a photo of her hand bearing a diamond ring — explaining simply that she had said ‘yes’. The couple had previously sparked engagement rumours in April this year after Rodriguez posted a cryptic Instagram story.
The 31-year-old model made an announcement via Instagram on Monday — sharing a photos of their hands with a huge ring on her finger. Both Rodriguez and Ronaldo were tagged in the post. The Portuguese footballer is yet to comment on his engagement — despite repeatedly sparking marriage buzz in recent months. “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives,” read the caption from Rodríguez in Spanish.
The post has since garnered millions of ‘likes’ and thousands of congratulatory messages from fans and friends. Reports suggest that the Portuguese player proposed to his long-time partner with a 20-plus carat ring that may be worth more than $5 million.
The couple have been together since they met in 2016 and share two daughters — 7-year-old Anana Martina and 3-year-old Bella Esmeralda. They had tragically lost a twin son (Angel) during childbirth in April 2022. Rodriguez and Ronaldo are also parents to three of his older children.

A social media update paying tribute to Rodriguez on her birthday had left the internet abuzz at the end of January — with eagle eyed netizens noting that he had called her his wife in the caption.
Rodriguez has been candid about her willingness to marry the ace footballer — telling The Telegraph during a previous interview that marriage was “in their plans”. Meanwhile Ronaldo had insisted that he was waiting for “that click” before proposing to his girlfriend.
“Wonderful children, a man who loves me, who cares for me. I love him, I care for him, I adore him, I admire him, he is a very good person and I am happy to share my life with him. Marriage is in our plans, but now we have many interesting plans for the future. We have four children to educate and we are very focused on them,” she had said.
