The biggest surprise came when the franchise used the Right to Match (RTM) option to bring back Australian batter Jake Fraser-McGurk for Rs 9 crore. The 22-year-old, who impressed in his debut season last year, had an explosive start, scoring 55 off 35 balls in his first match against Lucknow Super Giants. By the end of the season, Fraser-McGurk had amassed 330 runs in nine innings with a phenomenal strike rate of 234, including 32 fours and 28 sixes.

Adding to their impressive buys, Delhi Capitals broke the bank to sign wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul for Rs 14 crore, making him one of the top acquisitions of the day. They also secured Australian pacer Mitchell Starc for Rs 11.75 crore, further strengthening their bowling attack. England’s dynamic all-rounder Harry Brook joined DC for Rs 6.25 crore, while left-arm pacer T Natarajan was snapped up for Rs 10.75 crore.
