India at Rio Olympics: Indian wrestler Narsingh Yadav now has to face World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) after it summoned him for hearing in the doping controvery that surrounded the wrestler for quite a time. WADA said that it will review the case in which NADA has given clean-chit to the wrestler. The WADA has appealed against a clean chit to the wrestler Narsingh Yadav in Court of Arbitration for Sports as it is of view that the NADA’s decision was taken under some pressure, claimed sources. WADA has also requested the NADA to send the case file to it. It is notable that WADA, being the parent agency, holds the righnts to appeal against the NADA’s decision.

On the other hand, wrestler Narsingh Yadav has asked for two days time to reply to the WADA’s summon. Since Narsingh Yadav is all set to hit the mat on 19th of this month, the Court of Arbitration is expected to announce a decision by 18th August as according to rules, an athlete is liable to get 24 hours time to focus and prepare for his or her match. Rejection of the NADA clean chit to Yadav by WADA is a strong setback for the Indian hopes as Narsingh Yadav is considered as one of the potential medal winner in ongoing Rio Olympics. India is yet to win a medal in its present Olympic run and its hopes are on badminton and wrestling for medals.

Wrestling Federation of India has also sought more time to from WADA to defend Narsingh Yadav.
