For those unaware, Kohli matched the legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 centuries in ODIs during the ICC World Cup 2023 group stage match against South Africa, where Kohli displayed his batting mastery by scoring an unbeaten 101 off 120 deliveries.

Kohli’s century was instrumental in India’s commanding total of 326/5, setting a challenging target for the South African team. The Indian team, buoyed by Kohli’s performance, displayed exceptional bowling and fielding skills, restricting South Africa to a mere 83 runs. The resulting victory margin of 243 runs ensured India’s top position in the points table at the end of the group stage.
