After their resounding victory against arch-rivals Pakistan, the Indian men’s cricket team has arrived in Pune in preparation for their upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 showdown with Bangladesh.

Having secured three consecutive wins in the World Cup, the Men in Blue are poised to take on Bangladesh at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on October 19th.

Upon their arrival at the airport terminal, the members of the Men in Blue were greeted by enthusiastic fans who had gathered outside, chanting ‘India, India’ in support of their team, reported news agency ANI. In the match against Pakistan, Jasprit Bumrah was among the five Indian bowlers who each claimed two crucial wickets. His performance was pivotal in a first-innings collapse that witnessed eight wickets falling for a mere 36 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja, Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Kuldeep Yadav, and India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, were spotted heading towards their team bus, the report said.

In the epic India vs Pakistan showdown, five Indian bowlers took two wickets each, with Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav delivering exceptional spells following Mohammed Siraj’s crucial dismissal of Babar Azam. Rohit Sharma’s outstanding performance at the top of the batting order made India’s response comfortable, with Shreyas Iyer sealing the victory with his half-century.

This encounter marked the eighth meeting between India and Pakistan at a men’s Cricket World Cup, and on all eight occasions, India emerged victorious.

Where does the Bangladesh Cricket Team stand?

Bangladesh currently occupies the sixth position in the table, courtesy of their victory over Afghanistan in the tournament opener. Their next challenge awaits them against table-toppers India in a fixture scheduled for Thursday in Pune.
