A major loss for top ranked Gujarat Titans (GT) ahead of the Indian Premier League match today. Playing against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the team’s all-rounder Glenn Phillips returns home following a groin injury. He will miss the remainder of the IPL 2025.
After GT’s momentous defeat of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 6, Phillips sustained a groin injury during Prasidh Krishna’s over. Ishan Kishan pushed a short ball to the point for a single but Phillips took a stretch to his groin region after completing the run. He was taken off the field promptly afterwards. Wishing for his recover the Gujarat Titans’ statement said, “Gujarat Titans wish Glenn a speedy recovery”.
He is one of the best fielders in the Gujarat Titans squad and gave an impressive performance in ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Signed for Rs 2 crore, the young all-rounder has so far played 8 IPL matches making 65 runs.
